Laura Heaney CRC, BS leads the full-time staff of coordinators and has over 20 years of experience conducting trials with special expertise in CNS protocols.

As the lead coordinator at Cohen Medical Research Associates, Laura Heaney (NRCMA, CRC, BS) is passionate about the elderly population and specializes in neurological conditions, endocrine, cardiovascular and blood trial research. In 1996, Laura began her medical career and focused on geriatric cases while working in the operating room. Several years, she earned the title of director of education for nursing at a local college. After pursuing this venture, Laura left the education field to serve the elderly population in South Florida. As a licensed IV therapist and rater for Alzheimer's, Multiple-Sclerosis and more neurological conditions, Laura strives to improve the lives of elderly populations. At Cohen Medical Research Associates, Laura manages the research trial process from budgets, contracts, regulations and more. She has also partnered with reputable sponsors, CROs and ancillary testing facilities.
